| I'm not sure where to post this, but because it's not actually a skin for a model (Lambda you should of called the sub forum Textures or Texturing not Skinning lol) Anyways i spent several hours yesterday making HDR Skies for Valve's skies that didn't have them. This includes the leak, CSS, CS1.6, HL1, DOD, CS:CZ etc etc First of all here are the Source ones that i did;assault  cx  de_piranesi  havana  italy  jungle  night  office  airexchange01  bloomtest01  borealis01  c17_01  c17_02  c17_03  c17_04  c17_05  citadel01  citadel02  cumulus  dawn01  depot01  dusk  ep01_01  evening  night01  palace01  perf01  quarry03  spire01  station01  trainstation01  twilight  wasteland01  wasteland02  wasteland03  wasteland04  wasteland05  sky01  tides  And secondly here are the GoldSrc ones i did;2desert  alien1  alien2  alien3  avanti  backalley  badlands  blue  city  city1  cliff  de_storm  Des  desert  dmcp  dmcw  doom1  DrkG  dusk  dustbowl  forest  green  grnplsnt  morning  morningdew  neb1  neb2b  neb6  neb7  shadertest  snow  snowlake  space  tornsky  TrainYard  tsccity  xen8  xen9  xen10  NOTE: It's pretty much impossible to show you the HDR versions here, because HDR does NOT mean High Definition it means High Dynamic Range meaning the skies will now act like the retina of your eyes.
(When you look at bright parts of the sky, the rest of the world gets darker and visa versa. do these replace the skyboxes or are they a mappers resource kinda thing?

Actually neither.. well more of a resource but they are technically addons, they don't replace the normal skyboxes, all you need to do to use them is compile a map with _hdr at the end of the skybox name, and it will automatically use these HDR versions.
